Well check out MINI Thunder III on Feb 19 at Thunderhill. There will be a lot of MINI stuff happening there. All MINI/Minis are welcome even if you are not entering to drive. Free admission for MINI/Mini owners that want to come out as guests/spectators. Come out as a spectator and enjoy the day. Demo rides on track, parade laps at lunch, photo shoot at lunch, view the track from various locations, bring a camera and meet up with loads of other Mini enthusiasts.
Also our Shasta Minis group has been very busy. Maybe a bit too far north for many of you. We have a full calendar of events.
I just moved to San Jose, i see many Minis and i was at Safeway (by camden ave) and i saw a group(4) of minis parked but i guess they did not know each other. Just people buying groceries.

You've pretty much summed up my experience as a recent transplant to Silicon Valley. I easily count 10+ MINIs on my 20 minute commute every day. Here, the MINI is cheap BMW... aka shiny appliance. :(

I see most of them lady driven. I try to wave but most people just speed away... My gf tells me I'm a weirdo now.

This morning I saw 4 minis on my 35 mile route into work (Tracy to Hayward) which is the most I have seen so far on my way to work. Each one was driven by a man including me that makes 5.

I just drive 17 from San jose to Watsonville and then my other commute is San jose to salinas 101. I don't see many coopers untill I hit 85 by San jose.
WOW! Up here in Redding (Shasta) it see several around town each day and they all wave back. I'd say I see about 4-5 going to and from town which can't be more than about 8 miles round trip. Not sure what's up in the Southbay.
I was at a craft shop in Sunnyvale and parked head to head with a cute Mini. Waited around for a few minutes and no show. I would like to get together and share the fun.

On my way into work today, counted 10 Mini's on 880 - I commute from Milpitas to SJ (Union and 85). I'd be down for a group drive BUT do not believe in having to join a "club" and pay any dues to be able to get together.
