1st Mod

So my gf's parents have no idea what to get me for Christmas, and my first thought was something for the mini (07 MCS). What's a good first mod for less than $100, like would the waymotorworks bov beed a good option? Or isn't there a better engine mount that's supposed to correct missed shifts and all? Thanks for the advice everyone, I realize there's going to be a lot of different opinions but I appreciate any and all of them.

I'm really happy with my NM torque arm insert and NM short shift kit - both $60 ea.

For an R56 S ? If you don't have one, hands down - an Oil Catch Can....

While not a "performance" upgrade probably the very first thing I would mod to save me tons of $$$ in repairs down the road. Then use those savings to Mod away later on.

FES AUTO Sport module.or a stubbie antenna... Both make great stocking gifts, and are pretty cheap.

A catch can is a great idea, but will cost more than $100...

+1 Short shift is an everyday noticable improvement.

A CG Lock is a great mod to feel connected with your MINI.

I'd say the best first mod for an R56 would be the NM torque arm bushing.

Your also correct in the WMW bov would be another nice upgrade for you. Both are under a $100 and well worth it.

Does anyone have an answer for this? I have to imagine that the answer is yes, as the turbo apparently begins to engage a little earlier.

Edit: Please excuse my glaring ignorance. Apparently, it is the opposite - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...pinions-3.html
