How much did you pay for roof/sunroof graphic installation

I was just curious how much the dealers were charging for roof/sunroof decal installation.
I'm pretty sure I want the Blk/Wht/Gry Union Jack but at the time I placed the order the MA wasn't sure of the install cost. Since then I've seen a bunch of different outfits that specialize in these things but would rather go through the dealer if it isn't too expensive.

Too much. I believe they quoted me around $400 for install bonnet, roof, and hatch. I have not looked elsewhere yet, but I am sure it can be found much cheaper.
That was for the Sport Stripes.

Great question! Hope plenty people share so we can get a better idea of what's competitive vs. what's not!!

MINI of North Scottsdale quoted me $595 for the red, white, and blue Union Jack roof graphic with installation. Since the graphic itself is priced at $202.77 (on minimotoringgear.com), that equates to $392.23 for the installation.

However, according to minimotoringear.com Desert MINI of Las Vegas estimates installation at $218.97. Big difference!!

this wouldn't help you but for those ordering 2012s, my dealer initially charged me $550 for the install but then waived it in the end. paid msrp though.

I'm looking at getting just the Sunroof done. I think I read on Cooperflags .com that a sunroof graphic takes about a half hour (At least theres does). How are they figuring the labor charge?

I had my sunroof graphic installed a couple weeks ago and the dealer charged me $50.40 for the install by itself. The graphic itself was $165.86 bringing the total installed to $216.26.

That seems like a reasonable price.

It's obnoxious that my dealer is inconsistent between their website and actual cost. Their website lists the graphic for $156.48 without installation and $218.98 with installation. But my MA quoted me the $325 above for the installed graphic.

I had my Union Jack decal custom made at a Fast Signs in town, they installed it, total cost was $200. It's a chain, but they are localy owned.

My dealer just quoted me $300 for installation only!!!! And just the sunroof!!! I'm going to have to go aftermarket I guess. Very unfortunate.

I thought so too. It was actually cheaper than the quoted cost on the website. I just wish I would have received the new owner 15% off accessories and install coupon before I bought it. Oh well, it is an excuse to get more stuff now

To bring this back...I just received a call from my dealer's service after inquiring via email about the price. He stressed that "with a sunroof" the cost of the graphic is $125 more. That brings the price to nearly $500 installed!!

Straight up BS.

That is straight up BS from the dealer. I finaly got mine done for $215 which is what the dealers website had said. Everyone at the dealer was shocked at the price I was claiming they advertised for months so I had to show them on there own computer. $215 or $156 w/o installation. Previously they had quoted over $400.

I bought an aftermarket sunroof only graphic and just got an installation estimate of $150 from a local vinyl/tinting shop. That just feels high to me so I'll probably check a few other non-dealer options before pulling the trigger. If it were warm weather I'd probably just do it myself.

I think I paid $300 installed for my custom job. However, it was a friend so I think she did the design portion for free.

Had mine done this morning. Better pics to come...I had to get to work.

From inside:

My dealer honored the price they had on their website. I printed it out and brought it in. I paid $230 installed versus $392. Hooray for me! Though they will be updating their website price soon because of that...

I seem to remember just paying $100 onto the price of the car for the sport stripe.

When you spec stripes on the configurator, it's only $100 or so. But that section is a dealer-installed thing (or it was for me), so the consumer pays the dealer's price for stripes ($100) plus their labor (was $200 on my '09) for a total of $300.

Yeah, makes sense. That sounds right.
