I had it cliped to my visor but I noticed it was leaving an impression. I am scared it will permanantly mar the clean white delicate surface of my little visor.

It sucks having it in the G-box, too far to reach and with the cup holder in the way there has got to be a better place for it.

If you do a search, here or on min2, you may be able to find the "hi beam" mod where the controller is attached the high beams and you flash the door open.

I bought one of those small key ring type openers ($20.00) and velcro'd it to the small plastic mike location hicky (real technical huh) on headliner above rear view mirror.

This is easy. Install a EuroShelf. Buy it from Classic MINI in Ohio (NAM sponsor) for below retail. Install it yourself, using some great picture instructions available on NAM. I keep two garage door openers (home and work), mints, a couple of cd's, and my EZPass when I'm not doing any tollway driving.

I bought the small key ring type also. It's a small rectangle type that I just velcro'd under the air vent right on the dash just to the left of the speedo. Very handy.

A euro shelf would be nice.

Not too sure I want to tape it too the dash. I would kinda like it hidden but easy to reach.

I need to have three remote functions (one to our gated community entrance, one to our home, and one to my folk's place) but I am able to do this with two remotes. I too have the Euroshelf and mounted my remotes under dash using double-stick tape behind the parting line (so it's unseen). Here's a pic :

I did it the easy way. Bought the little key type remote and double stick taped it to the front inside wall of the drivers door storage bin. I can just reach down into the side pocket and press the button. It would alos work with your larger standard type remote as well. Being in the door doesn't hamper it in any way and the range is at least 75 feet. It works out to about a .50 cent and one min install

If you have a Genie garage door opener, you can get a keychain-sized multifunction opener that fits nicely in the open space on the sunroof controls. Heck, most modern opener controllers are fairly small and can be velcroed into that space and not look too bad.

If you want it hidden but accessible, you can attach it under the toggle switch bank, inside the door pocket (against the lip, inside the pocket), or under the ebrake handle.

Another place to velcro it is right on the seatbelt "entry pod". It's already got a patch of the fuzzy velcro side factory installed and the garage opener will be right at your hip for easy access.
That's what I did.

My genie keychain remote is out of sight up inside the front of my headliner. No battery installed - the battery leads are wired down to the toggle switch bank. When I press my second toggle switch (no DSC) my garage door opens - magic!

The combination of car battery power and having it up in the roof also doubled the operating range of the opener.

I was thinking of lots of things to do with my opener. After someone told me about putting theirs in teh drivers pocket, I took the easy way out and did the same. I just put some velcro on the back of the opener and toward the front og the pocket and viola, hidden garage opener. It is not sexy but it works.
