My solution to the PVC system dilemma.

So after reading through all the posts about catch cans and our PVC system I decided this is the easiest thing to do.

First I contacted our good pal from the other side of the pond CZAR and purchased to of the caps from him. I received them in the mail today and got right on installing them.

First I removed to hose from the crankcase to the manifold and put in the two caps.

Then I went to the local auto parts store and picked up a neoprene plug and a breather filter (to substitute till I can get an appropriate length hose to run under the car)

This is the end result.

Any questions, comments or concerns? I would like to know before my car blows up.

Well, that breather filter is going to drip oil and make a mess. I don't see how you could avoid using a catch can? Also, I don't know how the sensor you removed from the inlet tube is going to react.

The filter is just temporary I'm waiting for an adapter and hose in the mail. That is also not a sensor in the intake. It is a heating element, so I don't think there will be any issues with that. What do you mean about the catch can?

I was wondering what that was during my catch can installation. Thanks.

I know what a catch can is. I am wondering when he meant by " how you avoided using a catch can)

I would be careful with that. I think the down pipe has a lot more pressure in it than the crank cake puts out. You might end up pushing exhaust gasses into the hose. Also the down pipe its very hot and might melt whatever hose you use. I would suggest running is into the exhaust stream farther back.

Looking at a kit from summit with a check valve, as well as putting a pipe off then a hose.

Thanks for pointing out problems I might have.

I also got the plugs from CZAR and eliminated the hose all together. I added a BSH catch can on the driver's side hose. I have been running like this for over 2 months without a single issue.

Thats good I'm amazed at the amount of oil that comes out. I can smell it every time it does, smells awesome! I love it.

Oil dumped into a hot exhaust? I think you need to rethink this. Run a catch can. Tou don't really need to recirculate it back to the intake track but catch it, your little filter will be an oily dripping mess soon enough.

What did you used to seal the hole on the intake?
Thanks.

Same plug fits the valve cover and the intake manifold.

Ha...ha. You caught me. I haven't had a chance to wash the car as I've been on vacation. Just hit 8,888 miles tonight on the way home.
