Debating

I know I've been pretty much non existent on the forum since i put my downpipe on summer 2009. I'm debating on trading in my MCS. I'm looking at used Audi A4's, Audi A5's, Bmw 128/328/135, g37 coupe, wrx/sti if the price is right. Or new/used jcw then take everything off my car put it back to stock then put it on the jcw.

My MCS is just over 14k miles as I dont drive it for 9 months out of the year while I'm at school. I have a 1998 neon as a beater car.

First of all, what's your motivation for getting rid of your low mile car and getting another car you may not drive 9 months out of the year?

How about a new base '11 WRX? They're cheap and have lots of room for mods. Pretty nice for the money.

Why don't you just keep the car you have?

I'm moving and will need a bigger car, so it'll probably rule out the jcw. I want to get a good trade-in while I can..

I'm considering that but I was lurking on the wrx forums. Apparently subaru isnt taking orders for 2011's anymore for the wrx and sti. Some dealers wont even put in the hassle to look for one.

That's becoming true for a lot of dealer of the Japanese brands. Cars and parts are getting a little low on inventory. My wife and I were at the Toyota dealer. The manager said they used to be getting 70 cars a month, now it's down to 15.

I guess in your area Subarus are more desirable than in southern California. Over here, the dealers don't move too cars and the incentives are usually pretty good on them.

I really won't have a need for awd, since I'm moving to Miami, Fl. I forgot to mention that part

It's going to be a good bit before for the move, so I have time (5-7 months). I plan on trading it in or selling before whatever R(number) replaces the R56 and the price drops on them.

Car shopping can be soo hard sometimes, there are soo many models to choose from and so many driver preferences. But I will add to your list a 4dr GTI and Mazda Speed3. When you say you need more room do you mean storage/hauling room or room for 4 adults? To me I looked at 4dr GTI's and they were an great balance of luxury feel, sporty drive, room for 4 and loads of storage/hauling space + good MPG & DSG.

Keep the MINI - get a bigger beater.

There's no such thing as good trade-in value......... Sell it yourself if it comes to unloading it.

You better rule out the 1 series, and the g37 coupe if your reason is to have a bigger car. The mini is probably more practical than the 1 series, both rear seats are almost useless but with the seats folded down the mini can probably hold bigger objects. That is if you mean "Bigger" as in interior space/cargo space.

Thanks for the input I really like those cars but I cant picture myself driving a 5 door hatchback.

I'm not going to be able to bring 2 cars to Florida with me or else thatd be the way to go.

Yea I pretty much ruled those out...I'm leaning more toward the used a4, a5, 3 series, subarus

I think I'm just going to keep the MINI and neon. I'm going to start saving for the Alta stage II tune

and you want to purchase a product from a company that wont help you find something of theirs to buy, especially in this economy lol ... a lot of the cars you mentioned are smaller than a mini ... if your looking for more room i guess the 328 or wrx is your best bet ... wrx is a nice car just kind of rude of them to not build you one or find one when your paying
