Should I buy this 2011 MC S with these options???? Need to know ASAP.

Hi folks.

I'm typing on Phone, so forgive me my short post. I found an deal on 2011 mini Cooper S: manual, cold weather package, premium package, sport package, xenons, metallic color.

Priced at $28,750 MSRP

I got off $1750 for premium package
I got off $1000 from dealer if I put $1000 down
I was able go another $500 off on my own

Total price before taxes with doc fees $25,728

Did I do good?

Also I got approved for 0.9% rate for 60 months

I was able to get free winter floor mats just for the front n

Cons: my closest mini Cooper dealer is about 1.5-2 hrs away. I will have to drive that long for service and I'm assuming if car breaks down they will tow it for free for me due to warranty???

I'm coming from 2008 VW Rabbit which I was able to sell locally for close to maximum trade in price and still make few thousands of it.

Before I give them GO sign, do u think I did good and got good deal? Is it worth to risk the distance between me and dealers ( there are 5 of them in 100 miles area from me, in 3 different states).

When I build that same car on edmunds, cardirect, kbb, etc. I always got around $26k invoice price and I'm at 25,728 before taxes. Let me know, please thank you all.

As for should you buy one? Of Course!

Just as an FYI, the xenons are part of the sport package. It does sound like a good deal and in answer to the question about towing, yes they would tow to the nearest MINI dealer in the event of a breakdown. This is included during the warranty period. Congrats on the deal and hope it all works out!

Yes, that is a pretty good deal. I just took delivery on a 2011 MCS yesterday. I wish my dealer was only 1.5-2 hours away. The nearest dealers to me are all about 3 hours.

Hello all,
I've been on the fence for a while and am finally closing in on pulling the trigger. I wanted to get the forums thoughts on New 11 MCS Cabrio vs 06 MCS Cabrio.(Very low miles) Besides the obvious difference in price what are some thoughts on New vs used?

I am a brand new Mini owner and can only speak from my perspective but the difference in my opinion is huge. Warranty, warranty, and warranty!!! From everything I've read, these cars are expensive to fix when they break. I traded in a 4 year old car on a new mini because my other car's bumper to bumper warranty had expired and the powertrain only had 1 year left. Found a decent deal on a new Mini and jumped all over it.

As for the technical differences between the cars, I don't know enough to be able to tell you.

Overall, there are pros and cons to new vs used. Used = lower price, smaller depreciation hit, but also might be inheriting someone else's problems and repairs are expensive. New = full warranty, newer model so there may be several improvements and enhancements, but it's more expensive and you'll take a bigger hit on depreciation. Personally, if I can afford it I'll take new every time although buying used and getting an extended warranty is also a possible option.

Just my 2 cents.

Pull the freaking trigger dude. That's a way better deal than I got (sticker). They will tow your car if need be, and they'll tow it back to you if you're over 100 miles away.

Sorry, but no way on earth I'd buy a car with the dealer 2 hours away...

But it's a great deal, and a fun car...

It seems like a lot of people here are hours away from the dealer! I am pretty lucky to be a 3 minute drive away.

Hey guys..

So after all day .... I am finally home with my new car... 2011 Mini Cooper S.

Trip took us 4h 30 min one way yeah, it was worth..

After arriving to Mini of Madison, WI... my car was waiting for me.. I also, find out that the sticker price was $29,450.00 !!!! and NOT $28,750.00 !!!!

So, here is what happened.. they listed this car on their website with wrong price.. they did not include destination charge fee.. so all together I got:

$3,950.00 OFF THE MSRP PRICE!!!!!

I think, I won this one

Overall, I am very happy and I only wish I had dealer like that in my town :( But, I will have to deal with MI or IN dealers.. oh well..

Kinda cool to have car on WI temp license plate in Indiana

Here are only two pics.. thats all I took.

Looks like a good deal, I'd be asking where the Black headlight housings were, though.

i would call them and get them to order them! they would make your new whip look soo much sweeter!

And just FYI the True Cost To Own for a
2011 for the first 2 years is about $16,500 for everything!
2006 for the first 2 year from now it is about $18,000
2011 Cost about 27,000
2006 cost about 14,000
with a new car you are buying something that is never listed on the sticker........ piece of mind!!!!!! factor that in and you have a fair fight for your preference, i went used and am loving it, you went new and are loving it and thats what its all about!
Congrats on the NEW car!

(note this is only for 2 years check out edmunds website for more info on TCTO)

Great looking car and smoking deal! I wish MINIs were that cheap up here in Canada. GRR. That would be almost 40K and we are par right now.

Sigh.

If I were you I would print that and keep it with the original window sticker. Kind of cool little piece of history for your MINI.
