what is the best way to get a dealer decal sticker off my baby!

I didn't even think to tell the dealership to take it off before purchasing, my mistake! I first tried just peeling it off after i first bought my mini, and gave up with no luck. Does anyone know the absolute easiest and safest way to remove with no scratching or damaging the paint? Thanks a bunch !

Warm it up and peel it off. Much more difficult to do when they're cold. You may end up with a bit of glue residue..... WD40 takes it off easily.

Ask the dealer to do it?

Hello, I have used a hand held hair dryer to remove decals before from racecars. That should help. That and WD-40.

Hair Dryer

Heat the decal up with a hair dryer then carefully peel it off.

Sort of along the same lines as a hair dryer, I used a heat gun that we use here at work for shrink tubing. Just heated the dealer's decal for a few moments, and it just pealed right off.

You can also run a piece of fishing line or dental floss behind it after you've warmed it up a bit. Then clean up the residue with the WD40 like everyone suggested. You will need to put some sort of protectant back where the decal was since removing the decal will leave an unwaxed/unpolished spot.
I usually do a spot treatment of wax until I can get around to doing the entire car.

Be careful with the heat gun, they can get pretty hot.

yeah, for a novice, use a hair dryer.

I use
- warm with hair dryer
- pick/peel with a finger nail
- wipe up with 3M adhesive cleaner

Once I've warmed it up a bit with a hair dryer I peel up one end, then I slide the floss under there. I use this method because I have the wimpiest fingernails and usually split a nail or something trying to peel off stuff.
