Where's my Satellite Radio??

Third mini - first new one and with Satellite radio. It says plain as day on the window sticker "sat radio w/ 1 yr subscription". So where is it??

I see AM, FM, Aux, Tuner, CD, and USB.

Somebody help. Please?

I don't have my '11 yet and my '06 didn't have it so can't help there, but didn't the MA walk you through the features? When I picked up my '06 I was there for over an hour learning all the bells and whistles, I've been told by my MA to expect even longer with the '11 since there are way more features now.

We kinda plowed through it quickly. Being a mans man and a subsequent vehicle, I admit I might have had a "I'll figure it out" attitude.

Maybe check the owner's manual . I'm betting there will be a page or 2 dedicated to the sound system. Very painful process, but I'm sure you'll do fine.
(I'm usually the "I'll figure it out" type, too, makes my husband crazy.)
I'm actually taking notes this time since there were a few things with my '06 I never got figured out, like the sunroof and windows being cracked open sometimes when I got out to my car. I know there was a way to do this from the key fob and I was obviously doing it accidentally but never figured out how to do it when I wanted to /

So I did finally get around to reading that pesky manual. The answer was very simple. As per the manual, press "Mode -> Sat". That's all fine and dandy, but when I press "Mode" I see no "Sat". Hrm.... a bit frustrating.

Look at your window sticker...is it Sat "ready" or Sat "equipped?"

I would think that if it says "with 1yr subscription" then it should be there. I'd be on the phone to my MA on Monday morning.

I have a 2011 and I can say it works as described in the manual: Mode -> Sat. This is with the normal audio interface (not Connect). It was always there although the only channel I got until I registered with Sirius was their promo channel.

Same here. Mode = SAT on my MCS. Gave you a number to call to set up account. Its great but to be honest I like Pandora better and its free so after the year I'm gonna drop the SAT.

I think for 2011 HD and Sat radios are standard equipment. Sounds like you have an issue for sure. My best guess is a reprogram of the car will take care of the issue. The sat tuner mounts under the passenger seat, if it is not there it could be the tuner box was forgotten at the factory. Either way, the dealer can and should install it for you.

I believe you have to call Sirius to set it up. Once it's activated you have a year. I haven't called yet but plan to this weekend.

My MA had the Sat radio set up when I picked it up. I would count myself lucky except that is the only thing she did right. Sigh...

I called the dealer and got an official "hrmm, that's weird" from them. I have an appointment for tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

Anxious to hear the outcome, hope it's an easy fix.

So all the hardware was there, but there WAS a software issue. At least I'm not crazy, or THAT crazy.

On a side note, the CEL came on on the way to the dealership. Like a dog knowing it was going to the vet. Turned out to need a thermostat, at 500 miles? Still trying to understand that. Couldn't have happened at a better time though.

The SAT radio in my 2011 worked fine for the first 33 months/56K miles.

Then, one day, the SAT icon disappeared from the radio display.

Dealer says "needs new radio" - $1400+ (including labor and "downloading")
