You know the economy is bad when...

This weekend I was looking forward to going down to the local Mini dealership and purchasing some maintenance items only to find out that my local dealership parts department is only open on Wednesdays. Hhmm… In the past (not to long ago, late 2010) I could go down on Saturday and every other day and get what ever I needed. Not so anymore.

Here are the hours on the Mini dealership website:

Sales
Sun Closed
Mon-Fri 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
Sat 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Service
Sun, Sat Closed
Mon-Fri 7:00 AM-6:00 PM

Parts
Sun-Tue, Thu-Sat Closed
Wed 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Thoughts anyone? I am thinking the economy is really taking its toll in my area.

Toronto...that's a different world! I don't think the economy changed all that much the past few years....staying pretty strong.

That's a bit insane. You can only purchase parts on one day? Guess everyone is buying online, even in sales tax free OR.

Thats strange. Someone has to be dealing with parts every day as the service department/mechanics need parts as they work on MINI's. Just seems strange.

I agree! It is very strange. I will be calling on Monday to find out if someone may have updated their website incorrectly.

I just noticed the hours on their website Saturday.

I called today and the phone message does give different hours. Hopefully it is just a typo.
