Ours was just "Released to Carrier"

 

I wish. I am amazed at how fast this went for you. I ordered 1/17/11 and production hasn't even started on mine yet.

We got lucky with our dealer allocation. We had been talking to the dealer for many weeks leading up to our order. We got to see the last color and place our order right before the slot they had open went to production so they changed one of their cars for us.

 

Ah - that makes sense. I guessed there was some kindof allocation dance going on with all the differing order to production times being listed.

 

It all seems to be based on dealers open slots or their ability to change an existing slot before production happens.

 

Looks like our CM isn't going to make any ships this week as it still looks like it's been sitting in Graz all week. Next ships will be end of next week and hopefully ours will make it on one of those. Bummer.

 

Mine was just build on 1/28 and is released to carrier. Let's hope it the cars make the trip up north quickly so they can get on a ship by the end of next week.

It looks like mine just made it to the port of exit and has been assigned to a ship. Hopefully, some more owners from week 4 have made it as well.

Yours is going fast. Mine still isn't assigned to a ship and was finished over a week before yours.

Still "released to carrier" for me not at the port yet. (At least according to ask MINI)

 

Make sure you actually speak to a live person as sometimes they have more updated info than the robo-line.

 

I got a little more info talking to the ask mini rep. I have a status 182 - Hand over to carrier, load assignment. So it looks like I'm still at the plant waiting to get to the port. I don't think I will make this week's ships.

Yes thank you I did speak to a representative but his info was the same as the robo response.

 

Finally in transit to port

 

So now its time to keep an eye on the shipping schedule ==>Shipping Schedule.

It looks like there are 3 ships all leaving on Feb. 5: The Fedora, Oberon and Patriot. Hopefully you will make one of those.

Only the Fedora goes to NY, but I am betting with the way things are going I will make the Elektra on the 9th or the Fidelio on the 16th.

 

At the port!

I guess there is a small chance to make Saturday's boat but my vin is still not listed on the W&W site.

 

VINs won't be listed until several hours after the ship leaves port, at the minimum. Check VIN WMWZ to get a list of all Countryman. When you see your ship appear in the list, then you know the manifest has started to post and you can search for your actual car.

The tracking website doesn't have anyone listed yet but our MA emailed my wife and we are on a boat! (Fedora)

 

Sweet! My MA is not up to speed on this stuff so I doubt I will get a response back to my email asking what ship I'm on. It's good to know at least some MA's keep their clients up to speed!

 

Well the more time goes by the more I think our CM is not on a WW ship. Still nothing from my MA other than "shows it's still sitting at the port". If it was on a ship wouldn't he be able to see that? I hope he's not just calling ask mini!

 

Lindsey...Talk to the sales manager. The Oberon isn't showing anything on the WW site at all, and who knows how knowledgable your MA is. He may be looking at the OL. Although my OL now shows "In Transit."
