Week 5 Support Group

Got the production number and DH got all logged in to the OL. Wondering if there are any other W5ers out there.
I tracked my '06 MCS back in the day, and am looking forward to tracking one in from Austria/Germany this time, although it seems a bit odd for it never to touch British soil...

I was given a Week 5 production slot by my dealer. Checked the OL this morning to see if there were any changes and saw that my status changed to "scheduled for production." ASK MINI said it should be completed on 2/1.

Week 5

I have a completed date of Feb 1 according to ask MINI. Then the real wait begins, long voyage via the Panama Canal. With any luck it should be here for my wife's birthday in late March. It would be good if her birthday present is here for her birthday.

I can't believe she snuck a call into Mini and scooped me on the production info., dang her!

I checked the lounge twice this AM but it was still in order status. Now she says she told me there is a faster way to get info,....right; I know she was holding out so she could scoop me, grrrr! Then she had the nerve to post here, then tell me it was in production...... Think I will go rub mud on El Kabong's license plate!

Looks like I am week 5 also. Called Ask Mini and was told I went into production on 1/16/11 with Production completion on 2/2/11. OL is not updated yet, so I would also advice people to call Ask-Mini if they want more accurate dates.
The wait is killing me since my BMW was totaled 1 day after I put my Countryman order in, and I am without a car.

ugh. that's just a pain in the butt.

the waiting process is not easy - are you on the east or west coast? (i.e. do you have to wait for your Countryman to go through the Panama Canal...)

I'm in NJ and my dealer is 40 minutes from where the ship docks in NJ, so the wait from that point on should not be very long at all. Luckily I have a insurance paid rental car until 2/15.

Hey, no fair. I don't think mine will be ready until March!

Just checked the OL and see that I am scheduled for production now.

ETA: Ah, wait, I may be in the same production phase, I was factoring shipping in there. Pity they can't teleport over.

I called Ask Mini.

Waaaaaaaah!

My order was placed Jan 17. Now. I did make changes, so that may have delayed me, although I guess I wouldn't have bee able to make them if production was scheduled.

Completion date was moved from the first of February to the second. No matter the next boat for the west coast isn't leaving until the 12th. Just odd that it slipped by one day.

Sure could use ours since El Kabong got smashed. Wonder if I could send them some El Kabong parts and speed things up...

We may have two vehicles on order soon, wonder if they can just clone a mini?

My car is now in the paintshop, so looks like the 2/2 completion date is pretty accurate. Bremerhaven, Germany is 700 miles from Graz, Austria so I doubt I will make the 2/4/11 boat. I hope that the car makes it on time for the 2/9/11 boat for NYC.

Probably won't make the 2/4 boat. Mine sat for almost a week in Graz after completion before catching the train to Bremerhaven.

Mine is either in body shop or moving to paint shop. Guess I am right behind you, may make the same ship. They will be buddies even before they get here, ahhhh ;-)

New status

Today the status went to released to carrier awaiting transport to port. Looks like the next ship to the west coast is the Maersk Wind leaving around the 10th. I sure hope its on that one, the next one is two weeks later.
