Bought mine Aug 2010. Best unit i've ever owned! It's very light, slim like an Iphone. I mount it right on the top section of the speedometer. Adding an address using voice recognition is its best feature - works 99% of the time. You can get it at sam's club for $390, which now includes lifetime map and traffic upgrades. I paid full msrp back in August-$459.
I have the same unit as well. I installed a kuda mount and have it hardwired to the fuse box so it's always powered. I agree that it is a great unit. Voice command system works pretty good. I've had no problems with it.
I'll try to post a pic of mine this evening, too. I suspect it'll look very much like nailsale's because it's on the Cravenspeed mount, but not their "fixed" mount--they gave me an extra long arm so less of the display is covered by the steering wheel. I spent a couple hours routing the power cable under the dash last weekend (they included a cig-lighter splice so my cigarette lighter socket is still free). My only complaint is that the GPS vibrates a bit on the mount, depending on road conditions. I suspect the Kuda doesn't, right?
Here's my Garmin (it's a 1390, but still wide-screen) on the extended arm of the Cravenspeed mount. The power cable goes behind the tach, behind the panels down under the cig lighter.
