My wife has wanted a shade for the passenger side like the one on the drivers side.

After looking at both sides, I figured that the right hand drive cars would have the same setup in the reverse to ours. Given manufacturing constants, assumed that the mounting points would be the same on each side. A quick measurement proved them to be the same.

Since virtually no one uses the handle to assist gettin in or out, it was worth a try.

Quick run to the dealer for a lateral shade, who happened to have one in stock, normally a special order item. Took less than ten minutes to remove the assist handle, two Torx screws and install the shade reusing the same screws. Easily reversible if desired.

Result, happy wife!!

According to RealOem and the dealers data, there are different lateral shades depending on whether or not you have a sunroof and other options. So if you're looking for a used one, keep that in mind.
