Electrical need to permanently disconnect all airbags in r53
need to permanently disconnect all airbags in r53
I cant physically pull out the curtain bags becuase of my stereo. not sure if i can even get to the plugs if its in the rear where the box is.
anyways, i want ALL airbags permanently disabled. the dash ones, curtain, pillars, seats, etc.
do i just need to pull the SRS fuse or what?

Hi
I am very interested in your solution to disable them all.
Does this resolve the problem with the dashboard light for the airbag/
if so, where is the ECU located that I have to remove?
Please explain it simple, I am a newbie with this stuff
Thanks

thanks for telling me it was under the carpet, ill dig it out tomorow!
i normally wouldnt disconnect the airbags, buts its clearly not a daily driver, hardly EVER gets driven, so i dont mind not having airbags.
so by pulling this ecu out/disconnecting it, itll disable every airbag correct? will the airbag light be disabled as well, or will that still light up? (i dont care, just wondering, lol)
Yes when you take out the airbag module and disconnect it's ground the airbags will be disabled, and the airbag light will be disabled too.
As for the G sensor, it's for the traction control to determine the lateral acceleration of the car to activate the traction control if needed.

Just finish your wall build man, if you remove the ecu it removes all the sensors needed to actually set the bags off. I've been following that build thread on car audio years before I even had a mini lol
