does anyone have a template for skid plate?

id like to make one, but have no clue what the dimensions are.
ive seen lots of pics of one, but i dont wanna just wing it hehe

any help would be appreciated.
i contacted one member that had a pdf trace but lost it somewhere.

Sorry if I'm mistaken, but don't jcw's come with them so as to flatten out the bottom of the car?

KT, it was the GP that has the aerodynamic panels on the bottom.

Not to thread jack but the aero underbody panels on the GP are standard on the R56. Dunno if they'll function for what you'd want skid plates for.

i want a metal skid plate to use for winter time as my car is lowered and will scrape everything...

Why not take off the existing plastic skid plate and copy it in metal?

He doesnt want the aero panels... those are in the middle of the car..

he wants one up front for plowing.

I would recommend just buying one. The skid plates are not flat and it might be kind of hard to match those bends.

im fine w tinkering and getting the bends right, i dont mind the price of plate, but almost $100 just to ship it? i know if a big item and all, but thats a deal breaker, hence why i wanna make one, materials should be only a few $

There is a skid plate listed in the Market section. I'll most likely have my skid plate off in the next few days. Can take pictures, get dimensions and trace a template if interested.

looks like the shield from mossmini is aluminum(9lbs) and the one from minimania is steel(22.5lbs)

In the snowy salty areas steel would afford more strength, BUT i think aluminum could knock down those giant snow clods just as well, and not rust up

i dont like the idea of the holes either (understand the cooling efficiency), but theyll get packed with snow, which should melt out still due to the heat
