We just picked up a 2008 MINI S with Navigation. The screen comes up with a max speed alert set at 5 mph, and chimes every time we start out. I have seen this mentioned in the Gen I Nav system on board computer, but have not found it mentioned in the Gen II manual. Has anyone set or turned off this pesky alert?

 

you can set this to zero or you can set it high so that you never really reach the speed. With the nav it's easy to get to the setup screen using the home button. From there you can navigate to the settings. I'll spell it out if you still need the info.

 

Thanks, I found it in Car Data under Limit with the voice recognition and just turned it off
