15x8 Pics please

I'm shopping for wheels and tires. I'm leaning towards Enkei PF01 or 949Racing 6UL in 15x8 size, with 225/45-15 Hankook RS-3's.

I really want to know what a 15x8 looks like on a MINI, I've searched NAM and Google with little success. Can you all help me out?

I'd also love to see how a 225/45-15 tire looks on a 15x8. I've considered 205/50-15's to expand my tire choices (i.e. Dirrezza Star Spec), but I think it would look pretty stretched on an 8" wide wheel.

Thanks

A 195/55-15 Star Spec doesnt look to bad on the 6ul. You will NEED to lower it though, and they are small tires and look funny in general, even on a lowered car.

195/55 on left 225/50 on right

195/55

Now 225/50-15 BFG G-Force Sports

Need any photos or have questions, just ask.

Can you feel a difference in performance between 195 and 225? I bought 15x7 that came with 195 and did feel better grip with 205s but 225/45-15s on 15x8 I take it would feel like magic.

Depends completely on tire choice rather then size. The 195 was a star spec, and gripped VERY well, but the 225 g-force sport grips as well for short periods of time. Being what they are, 340 readwear, i doubt they will do as well on an actual track. Also, the 225/50 is a taller tire, so i have less gearing, AND the tires are heavier, etc. etc. etc.

Now, a 225/45-15 NT01 or something, yeah i suspect that to be a magic feeling set-up, and something i yearn to have.

OP.

What generation do you have?

2nd gens just don't pull off small wheels like the 1st gens could. Even 16's tend to get eaten by the wheel well.
