Lost parking pass in gap between windhield and dash, please help
Hello,
Today, I went to reach for the parking pass hanging on my rear view mirror but I bobbled it and it fell in the gap right behind the windshield. I'm hooped. I couldn't get into the parkade at work and ended up having to drive to another lot and pay for parking...and I was late for work
Does anyone know how to get the in that gap to retrieve my parking pass?
I can't even see it, it's gone! Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, that sucks. I dont think you want to rip your dash apart, so I suggest trying to fish it out. Look from outside into the gap to see if you can approximate where it landed. I have a flexible "claw" thats about 2ft long, with a push button on one end and a retracting grabber at the other. I think I bought it at Sears. When you push the button in, the claws 4 fingers come out, when you release it, the claws fingers pull in and grap. Ive used it for fishing out screws and suck from hard to get places. Maybe you will get lucky and grab an end and carefully pull it out. Good Luck.
hmmmm
can't you just ask for a replacement for loss?
if it went down near center then it is probably stuck behind the center pod stuff and unless you can find it by poking around under the dash I suspect replacement is the best option.... way I'd go any way.

I've got one of those grabbers and I wouldn't blindly stick it down the glass gap at the front of the dash....
but if you want to try you can also find one at Harbor Freight for just a few bucks.
wasn't thinking of the rattle angle but keep your fingers crossed.

drive around till a truck throws up a rock and cracks the window and then while insurance covers a new one get it out when they replace the glass
lol

I have had this happen to me before. The dash is not completely connected to the firewall so there are gaps in places. You can probably get to it from the bottom of the dash in the footwell. Get a flashlight and thin implement then go fishing.
When trying to remove my interior bulbs, I realized I didnt have small enough fingers... I ended up using 3m Mounting tape on my fingers.
Perhaps you could use just a tiny bit (maybe even simple double sided tape) and stick it on a notecard or something and see if you can fish it out of there.
