Congratulations! They're a piece of cake to work on. A buddy and I did an engine/transmission swap on one. we drove the car into the garage, did the swap and drove it out again in 47 minutes (we timed ourselves)

Aww man, that's awesome. It'd probably take me more than 47 minutes though haha

Nope, it was a standard Mini with a 1098, we took the 1098 motor and transmission out and put a 1275 engine and transmission back in. We had done it so many times before, on other cars, that we decided to time ourselves.
There was a two year period, where my freinds and I did nothing but work on Minis, MG 1100s and Austin Americas.

We got real good at it!

Well, the man is a gifted shade tree mechanic.

I really want a classic. What needs restoring on this one? Is it rusted out underneath? Bad mechanicals? It looks good in the photo.

There is some rust in certain areas. When I drove it into the driveway the first time the shifter dropped to the ground lol so I had to replace the bushings. needs new tires since theyve been sitting for 4 years. Needs some body work and some TLC. electrical issues here and there, but she's pretty sound.
