15" wheels on '07 MCS?

Are there any 15" wheels that will fit over '07 MCS brakes? I like smaller diameter, wider wheels with meaty tires - say 15x8 wheels with 225/45-15 tires. I'd be looking for a street tire setup, but I'm sure the auto-x and track day guys have already done the research on trying to fit 15" wheels... Can it be done? What wheels?

If you've got 15's on your car (especially with a mildly lowered ride height) I'd love to see pics...

Thanks!

After scouring NAM threads here are some of the wheels said to fit over R53 JCW/R56 MCS calipers. I have the Motegi TrakLites 2.0 in 15x7. All these fit 15's fit over R53 JCW/R56 MCS brakes:

Kosei K1 TS
Kosei K1
OZ Ultraleggera
OZ Superleggara
OZ Chrono HT
Motegi Tracklite
Motegi Tracklite 2.0
Motegi SX5
Enkei RP02
Enkei PF01
Konig Feathers
Sport Edition F2
Sport Edition D3
Team Dynamics PR1
Team Dynamics PR2
949 6UL (ET36) 3mm spacer maybe needed

Thanks cannot believe I forgot the wheel I am saving up for, in 15x8 with 225/45-15s.

Remember somebody had a thread with pics of 15 inch 6ULs fit over JCW brakes, cannot find it to verify.

This should be a new thread and or sticky.

Ugh, I just did a search on tire rack for 225/45-15 tires - only one street tire? :O I didn't realize that size was SO uncommon!

Toyo R1Rs come in 225/45/15 and the Bridgestone Potenza RE11 come in a 205/50/15 both are very good tires.

225/45/15 is a race tire size, 205/50/15 offers many more street tires.

Only street sticky tires available are the Hankook Ventus R-S3 and the Toyo R1Rs that come in 225/45-15.

Still not sure of the 949 Racing 6UL 15x8 inch wheels? Anyone?

6UL fits. 15x8 et36, some cars need a 3mm spacer in the rear to clear LCA. I have been doing my homework.

Thanks, just added them with an * asterick to note spacers may be needed.

If anybody knows of other wheels that fit please post and list'em.

Has anyone tried fitting the TRMotorsports C1 15x7 on the JCW?

Thanks everyone for the feedback; 15" on JCW is my plan.

2005 Mini Cooper S with JCW brakes. Seems that many other aftermarket 15's work, and was hoping the TRM C1 works also.

Much appreciated!

As for the 15 x 8 949's, Jan(RMW) runs these, and they fit but they do require spacers. Not sure the exact measurement on those, but he did have to use spacers.

It's my next set of rims.

Will the 14mm wheel bolts fit through any of those wheels?

Time to refresh this thread.

Like the OP, I am looking at getting 15-inch wheels and tires for autocross.

Looking at getting suggestions for 15-inch wheels that will clear R53 JCW / R56 front calipers.

Le thanks

See post #8-
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...on-an-r56.html

For common autocross wheel, this should fit, may need thin spacer for rear wheel trailing arm clearance-

Gen 4 design due in Aug 2014, been out of stock for some time. 5 colors now.

If using with R56 then-

Konig Dekagram (15x8 4X100 ET25) fits, clears everything and works with the R56 14mm lugbolts. I'm still looking at wheel arch clearance but no contact so far. Tire is a 205/50r15 Maxxis VR-1; stock S suspension. Feels great!
