Request: Post Photos of Your Custom Interior!

Hi. I'm thinking about doing some interior mods (dash/doors mostly). Please post a photo of yours! And let me know what you did it with (vinyl, paint?). And throw in the cost or if you DIY if you can remember. Thanks!

why not now? 100 did the dash, downtubes, cup holder, and steering wheel inserts for me
and it just took 5 hours of my own time one night after work.

Thanks! I am very happy with the interior.

Leather seats w/red stitching is from Katskin. Custom interior install by AutoMat in Long Island. Alcantara door inserts, leather wrapped side panels and seat backs, down tubes, brake boot and shifter boot.

for th vynil, get soem bloves that will prtect you from direct heat, but that you can still work and stretch a material in. use a blow dryer and work the material while the blow dryer is working on it.

make sure to sand your dash down before doing this (no going back.. the adhesive will pull the paint off your dash if you dont sand it anyways.. its not to get it to grip to the dash, your trying to get the paint off, as it will stick to the adhesive and pull the paint off the dash during the first good summer heat.
and for ease of stretching and stuff use a semi flexible pastry folder out of the kitchen. (were big cooks here and have an extensive kitchen so idk if you have these. they fit in your hand and are used to scrape dough off of a slab and fold it over....)
these being flexible and flat let you use them to stretch chem evenly over a curved surface.

SoccerBummer, what size sheet did you order to do the dash. I love your Carbon Fiber dash. How has it held up.

What an excellent job! Have you had prior experiance doing this and how hard would it be for someone without prior knowledge?
Thanks, Steve
