Hi there,

My 1968 Mini is having a weird issue. I just imported it a month ago and have been driving it a lot. About 1 week in the battery seemingly died. I would have to jump it every time. I ended up putting a brand new battery in the car about 2-3 weeks ago, and it is having the same issue. Any ideas what the problem could be? (Alternator?)

I want to take it to a good mechanic that knows about these types of cars and is reasonably priced and reliable. If they are good, I would also like them to work on it on an ongoing basis - perhaps installing the new carborator I have, plus some other general work.

Any recommendations?

Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland. Usually half a dozen classic Minis in there every time I stop by. They do everything up to full restorations and race prep. I'm sure they can sort you out quickly and at a fair price.
