Hi all mini lovers,

I was recently rearended while driving my 2010 Cooper S Camden edition. It is currently in the shop. When i bought the car to the bmw collision center in annapolis i noticed that the gas cover pot insert (The plastic piece that the chrome gas cap sits in that is the color of the car) is not pushed in all the way like it was when i bought the car and that the gas filler hose is not center to hole in the fender as on my friends Clubman S. So when i filled up with gas later that day i could barely get the gas nozzle all the way in so that it didn't keep cutting off. I talked the the techs at the collision center and they are telling me it is fine and they looked at other Cooper S's and they show the filler hose to not be center but way to the left. Mine is currently at the 7 o'clock position against the rim. Can some people please post pictures of your chrome gas cap/gas door opened so that i can see if it is centered . Much appreciate the help.

This what you're talking about? 2010 MCS....looks like it's designed this way, by looking at the way the rubber skirting is moulded.
