R50/53 Horn Beep When Pressing Lock

Horn Beep When Pressing Lock
Hi, I just got a 2003 mini cooper s today, and i was wondering if there is a way to make the horn beep when pressing lock on the keyfob (im not sure if it has an alarm or not.) Thank You.

Not sure if that was an option ot not. If it is possible it would have to be programmed by the dealer.

1st Gens did not beep. Years ago there was a thread on how to install a piezoelectric
from radio shack. If I recall they used the gas cap unlock signal wire for their source.

It's on this forum somewhere.

The factory alarm kit would beep when the car was locked or unlocked.

My car has never beeped when locking or unlocking the doors.
