R50/53 terminology

What's the proper/real name for a push strut? I haven't found the term on the Net. Apparently, I need to replace cracked bushings. I haven't had the "opportunity" to work on suspension yet so I don't know the lingo.

One good tip..
Realoem.com is a great place for mini/BMW skematics, part names, part numbers, and dealer recommended prices...free. Just put in you car info, the go to the area of the car/system, and in a few clicks, you will have the names, numbers, etc of almost anypart on your car!!

I'm guessing you might mean the control arm bushings (common issue) - Try this thread (and also all the way at the bottom of that page for related threads)
