I'm sure other MINIacs have the same idea out there. Would you photoshop masters out there please post pics of an Astro/Midnight Black Cooper S or JCW with a Chilli Red roof, red mirrors and potentially red (viper) stripes?

You see where I'm going with this right?

interesting idea. not sure the AB (which has a lot of blue in it) would go with red, but hey, I'd like to see it too

 

You'll get better response if you at least provide the photos. Post an AP to be modified, and a CR for picking up the color. I could do the Photoshop work, but am not going to go searching for images.

I disagree. IMO it makes the car look top heavy. The red is just too overpowering to be on the top of the black.

 

I like it, really snaps your head.
A real hot combo.

 

I'm not a black car kinda guy, but I think I could see one of those in the garage.

I think a more subdued red would look better, something in the maroon or deep red sort of color. That's just too bright the way it is. In my opinion.

 

I know that it's on a first gen but;

 

devils advocate here, but I think that combo looks uber-lame.

 

my thoughts exactly. red and black are better off the other way around.

Now, a white roof and the red accents on mirrors, brakes, interior, etc might look pretty sharp.

 

Off topic - but do you know what kind of rims those are?

 

I always thought it would look cool to have a solid black MINI w/ a "black widow" red hour-glass graphic on the roof.

I like it. I think the car would look pretty sharp with red mirrors, red stripes, black wheels and other red accents (e.g I’d put a black decal or stripes on the roof as well). Obviously this isn’t everyone’s taste and the more “conservative” MINI owners will prefer a black or white roof contrast. Though there’s really something to be said about more colorful contrasts. Look at the MINI E or the US Cooper S Clubman Limited Rally Edition (green mirrors and green side scuttles) for example. Another idea of mine is a Midnight black/Hot Orange combo (wouldn’t go with the full Hot Orange roof though, maybe just a decal and the Hot Orange mirrors).

I kind of like it. Looks like the MINI is wearing a fez....

 

I believe they are OZ Ultraleggera's.

 

I like the red roof on black body. Maybe a black stripe on the roof would tone down the red a bit.
