AMVIV7 to go or not to go.

I've been to a couple of AMVIVs and wasn't planning on going to this one. But my best friend called and wanted to celebrate my big five O in a way I that met some of my bucket list. So said he wanted to do a road trip with me. He wanted to hit as may states as possible and the timing would put us right at AMVIV time.

Along with AMVIV, he wants me to make a Phoenix Suns home game, maybe a Vancouver Canucks road game if they happen to be in either LA or Pheonix, see the Grand Canyon and a round of golf in the Arizona desert.

I'm not keen on putting my MINI through another 3000 mile roadtrip. But at least I won't be doing all the driving myself this time. I am concerned that both AMVIV trips I've been on, my car has sustained unexpected damage along with windshield replacements. Some of you will remember the pellet gun incident on the strip where a few of our cars got shot at. Last year, a big rabbit (Hare) threw itself in front of my car and I had to do a bumper replacement. So I'm a bit concerned about strike 3.

So....what do you think? Should I go? I can't decide.

If I go, it would be to meet up with you MINI folk again so who's planning on going?

AMVIV7, to go, or not to go......

Let's see if I got this right.

A 50th Birthday to celebrate. A visit to the Grand Canyon.
A round of Golf in the Arizona desert. An away game of you favorite hockey team.

A best friend to do it with....priceless.

It's not a decision of to go, or not to go.....it's a decision of when to leave.....

The pellet gun was an isolated incident, not to say it wasn't a scary thing, just not a normal occurrence.
And as far as strike three goes, take a chance. My strikes, different years, are a dented front spoiler and a windshield.
But I've booked my room, at the Aliante Station, and my best friend and I will be attending our fourth AMVIV.

Hope to see you there...

You should totally do it. You only live once. Plus AMVIV is at a new hotel that should be alot nicer than the old one. Go for it.

Go... you only live once. You'll probably buy another car in a couple years anyway so why not enjoy the Mini.

Registration is now open. Looks more and more like I will be there.

This will be part of my 50th birthday bucket list road trip.

Windshields and bumper covers are replaceable. Memories aren't.

If you hadn't gone the other times you couldn't even share those wild stories!
