What drains do I need to clear out?

Hi ya'll,

I tried searching, but with rain coming I find myself asking a question I have on every vehicle I own. What drains do I need to be worried about clogging up on my 2007 coupe (with sunroof)?

I'm happy to blow compressed air wherever I should.

I've never had my MINI clog up, but would be very interested in knowing if there are preventative measures I could take to avoid a drippy mess from the sun roof.

While we are at it, I've had air conditioning drains clog up on other cars and cause a long-lasting stale/musty smell in the car. Does this ever happen in a MINI?

The Sunroof drains are at the corners, you can feel the rear ones with tilt and the front ones with it slid open.

I would use caution with compressed air, lest you blow off a connector down inside the body.

Have not heard of AC drain clog, should see water coming down from forward portion of exhaust pipe area.

Damp floor carpet could be from either drain problem.

Thanks. Any drains near the hood that I should care about?

The two drains that are on the exterior cowl plastic clogged on my MCS in under a year. They're oval and between the wiper blades and the hood. A piece of stiff wire cleared them right out.

Thanks - My sunroof drains were good, but I just checked the hood drains were plugged. Okay - I'm all ready for the first rain of fall...

You need to come clear the drains for my roof gutters. They are full of pine needles and we've had over 2" of rain today. It's supposed to rain tomorrow as well. This is California and we ain't used to this, especially with the first rain of the season.

How far in do you push the wire? Do you know where it ultimately drains? One of mine is clogged (on my two week old car) so I want to clear it, but if I push gunk through it, where does it come out?

Thanks!!

I had to go about 6" until the pool drained. I'm not sure but from where the water comes out under the car, it may drain inside the fender.
