Hey, have a question about my Cooper. Was driving last night, it was cold out, about 30 degrees. I was only driving for about a half hour. When I shut the car off the engine fan came on for about five minutes. I am wondering is this is normal. I dont see how the engine could get hot enough in that cold weather for the fan to activate. I checked the coolant levels and all appears normal.

Any engine gets extremely hot, in any weather condition. And does so almost instantly too. If you don't believe me, drive around for 10 minutes then open the hood and touch the headers.
