Arg! This Stinks!!!

My brand spanking new MCS just arrived at the dealer today! Sounds great, right?

However, since my wife and I are taking advantage of the "Cash for Clunkers" program, I can't get my car until the program officially begins on July 24th! Doh!

Yeah, the $4500 is worth waiting for 2 weeks, but my car is there, just waiting for me! Add to this the fact that I leave on a two week vacation on the 29th & that means I'll get very little motoring time in the new ride. I know, I know, at least I'll have something to return to. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" blah, blah, blah.

Ok, rant over - at least around here!

I'm likely to be in the same boat. When my MINI gets to the dealer it will likely sit there for a couple weeks, if not more while I rehab my knee to a point where I can drive.

I hope your two weeks go by fast! I hope you don't go insane while you wait the last little bit.

Bottomfeeder, what was the clunker that you turned in? $4500 will buy a lot of fun mods for your MINI. Happy Motoring once you get him.

I've got a serious clunker (though it's been good to us), a 1986 Ford F250 diesel truck.

Say bottomfeeder1 which dealer did you go to? Also does anyone know which dealers are participating in the Cash for Clunkers program? How do I find a list of MINI dealers that are taking part in the program?

I'm pretty sure that every new car dealer in the nation will be a part of this program.
My dealer is in the Seattle area.

I can understand your imaptience. I picked up my MCSC this Saturday and then had to leave for a business trip the next day (didn't even get around to posting pictures on this board!)

Have been pining for her for the last few days.... the weekend can't come sooner.

On the positive side, just by driving on Saturday alone, I already have over two hours on the Openometer (would have had more, but the midday sun in SoCal was getting a bit too uncomfortable, so had to pull up the top).
