WTH is going on?

I took delivery of my Mini on 1 June, and was given a list of software options to pick for the vehicle. You know, daytime running lamps, open all the doors & roof with 1 button, light timer after you get out of the vehicle, etc...

On delivery, my dealer gave me an IOU sheet for my floormats because they ran out, and also for the software mods. I asked why about the software, and they said that my model came with a different software variant, and that they didn't have the flash software update to flash the new software.

I just called again today, and they still don't have it. Arg. I don't get why BMW getting software out to dealers for 1 model of care would be so difficult. A couple weeks was fine to wait, but now I'm getting a bit impatient. That's not unreasonable, is it?

 

i took delivery of 'woodstock' on the 9th and
had to go back to towson on the 12th because
my software options hadn't been installed.

they took a whole twenty minutes to pull it in,
install and bring it back out.

(i barely had time to peek in the showroom)

i can't imagine your software version is newer
than mine.

I asked if Towson or Sterling would have it, and the guy on the phone said "Nope. If they had it, we'd have it."

ARG ARG!!!!
