Where to buy bonnet stripes after applying clearbra...

So I'm pretty much set on doing the entire hood with clearbra. I'm going to remove the stripes beforehand though. Considering the right one started coming up/bubbling already I guess I might need to buy new ones anyway unless NW Mini wants to be nice. I just used a squee gee and spray bottle with water to get it back down before...

Besides the dealer is there some other place to get the normal black stripes for less than $100?

Your local sign shop can cut them for you very cheap. Most likely less than $25 for a pair of solid colored stripes

Hmm cooperflags looks good if it's good stuff, 50% the cost isn't bad considering how much I'm already shoveling over for the clearbra and tint.

From the picture it looks like they've got an older Mini which seems to have straight down stripes. Is that just for that year? The OEM stripes are angled a bit.

That diagram isn't accurate. The first gen MINIs' bonnet stripes are angled just like the R56 stripes.

However, be sure you buy R56-specific stripes because they are longer than the first gen stripes.

Cool thanks for the info. I guess now the question is do get the black with the white edge ($75) or the black pinstripes ($45). At least it beats the OEM $100. Personally I'd say $30 is far since it's just a high end sticker but hey. I'd rather spend $100 on a perf or electronics mod. That being said also needing to find the stuff for the rear fogs and maybe the rally lights too.

what did your clearbra set you back and how much was the labor to put it on?

Quoted $900 from AccuTint in Seattle, that's for the complete bra and the ceramic tint.

mine was $700: 35% smoke tint plus ventureshield brand clear bra on hood up to eight inches or so above the headlamps, all over the aero kit, pieces on the sideviews, door edges and top of the boot bumper. all from Auto Trim Hawaii.

my stripes--a large (maybe 6"?) stripe with a one or so inch single on either side--were custom at the dealer...something like $300? they go down the bonnet and down the boot, but not on the bumpers.

some might feel getting a bra on after the stripes are laid down is kinda kooky but i'm okay with it.

Had I ordered the car from the factory I would've left the stripes off, gotten the clearbra then gotten the stripes. But since I didn't been trying to figure out options. Really that $900 is $1000 since I don't think we can reuse stripes after pulling them up .
