Question about wheels

I looked around to see if there was a similar thread but didn't see anything, though I could definitely have missed it, so I apologize..

I currently have these wheels, which came on my Mini. I'm thinking the car was a custom build, and then whoever ordered it backed out or something. I rarely see Minis on the lot with these wheels and the packages it came with. Anyway, here are my current wheels:

Also note the tints I got installed this morning 20% in back, 35% in front

My question: With the runflat tires, will I have problems installing new wheels? I have a few on Tirerack that I like... I just don't want to deal with a bunch of issues. Would like to be able to just order new wheels, and swap them out. Sorry for sounding like a newb, this is my very first mini and I know that they are different than other cars..

Thank you!!!

ps - assuming I get new wheels, I will be selling these if anyone wants them They are 17''s

I have no answer re: runflats, but I wanted to say that I LOVE those wheels. Those are my favorites of all I've seen. Very envious.

Call Tire Rack and talk w/Alex, he'll be able to answer any questions.

There's also a tires/wheels/brakes forum here, probably has a lot of good info for you.

You've got the highly desirable R98 wheels.....so make sure you don't sell them at a firesale price!

I don't think they were an option before '09....and they are sweet!

Agreed. You should be able to get a good price for them in the marketplace forum. Link here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/marketplace/

Those are the wheels that came on my '08 MCS except in silver. I think they're beautiful, why do you want to get rid of them?

Unless you're planning on tracking the car and want lighter wheels.

I think they look fantastic on your car. And though you didn't ask, I agree with Sketch, I'd leave the wheels and lower the car.

You got some good looking wheels on there. I am currently running Enkei OR25s with Falken 215/45/R17s and I have no issues other than they are not run flats. If you want performance be aware that run flats don't perform as well as non run flats.

Runflats typically have a harsher ride, are heavier, have less grip and follow the road seams more. I replaced my stock tires with dunlop direzza star specs and the grip, noise and comfort levels are night and day.

I agree... typically the first thing I do is replace runcraps with regular performance tires... it's just that the last year or so, I've been driving 700 to Tampa at least once or twice a month. I felt better knowing I had runflats then.

are you looking to sell those R98's as they would hide the brake dust very well.

To all those who were inquiring about my wheels.... I'm sorry, I had no idea they were so desirable haha. Before I sell them, I am investing in rally lights... so I'm gonna hold off on selling the wheels for a little while. I just was wondering about the runflats possibly being an issue. And honestly, they are starting to grow on me more and more everyday. But... if I change my mind I will definitely let you all know
