I'm currently switchin out all my harmon kardon with kenwood and other aftermarket car audio.

Selling the headunit, all the speakers , and the amp. If there is anything else, I'll ship it too.

My main question is where's the other speakers in the car? I thought it was a 10 speaker setup for h/k? I only see six speakers. 2 tweeters on the door, 2 6.5 speakers on the doors, and 2 6x9s in the back. Where's the other 4 speakers?? Lol.

 

Six are all I know about... Maybe you were thinking of a lexus?

 

The H/K stereo is advertised as a "10-speaker" system, and it technically is, but there are only six of what most people would call "speakers".

Since the door speakers and rear speakers are "two-way" speakers (two separate drivers sharing a common chassis), that's where the extra four "speakers" are.

 

did you sell your hk system yet??? my amp just went ad i need one BAD!!!!!!

 

didn't sell it yet, I just need my kenwood amp and the I'll take the hk amp out of the car. I'll let everyone know when I take it out. How much does a brand new hk amp sell for?

 

well thats the thing.....the dealer ant 900 to 1000 for it but i dont think you will find anyone willing to pay that much for it since i just got quoted $900 for a brand new head unit(alpine ida- x305) alpine amp and speakers.... installed! but i really just want to replace the amp and change the head unit... also...i dont think anyone is going to want the speaker since if you are going to go through the trouble of changing your speaker you might as well just put better after market ones in for the same price.. but im willing to pay a reasonable price for the amp!... im really desperate!!!! hopefully we can work something out!!!!!

 

Yes lol, once I take all the hk out, I guess it's going straight on eBay. So that everyone has a chance to get some action lol. I'll most likely start the bidding with $100 for the amp, $100 for all the speakers in the car(I think now that the right door 6.5 speaker has a problem where it's like it's blown or something. It has a little buzz when playing low bass, or maybe its just a loose thing in the door that's making the noise, I'll get it tested at the sound shop before i put it on ) and last but not least, the headunit will be starting @ $50. If there is anything else I find that comes with the hk in the car, I'll just put it on there too.
