maybe if jan would cut me a deal to get 2 tunes. one now and one when I get enough for the turbo kit =p

 

I'm in Rhode Island and It's like a 2.5 hour drive. But I don't think I can afford $800 right now when I only have an Intake. Do you guys think I should wait until I at least got an exhaust to get tuned.

 

I think that you may have a better shot than those of us who went with the route of getting parts. Just look at what the stock car pulled! Here's my theory...

It's like having a mac vs. pc. A mac is built by mac and therefore any upgrades done to it will usually be flawless. Basically, the stock MINI is built to work flawlessly by MINI. When you take a pc and have components from all over the world installed in it, you get issues and failures. Basically, those of us who modded the car MINI built have a worse off chance of having the ECU upgrade work most effectively.

I hope and know Jan is addressing this issue and we should not worry, but those of you with stock cars have a better chance of it working vs. getting more power. Just something to keep in mind.

Is there a HPDE in LRP on that day? I may show up if there is.

 

I'm not sure if there is one at LRP, the LRP website states nothing for the 21st. The SCDA schedule says they will be at NHMS for the day of the 21st.

Any other HPDE that you know about that I don't? If there are, you better tell!!

 

I could not fine one at LRP on May 21. Thought you may know of one that I did not.

Okay people, Jan said May 21st for sure and it depends upon scheduling whether or not he can tune other days.

He will be in CT from Thursday to Sunday. We need to start getting a head count for him, make things go smoother. I will update the OP with people who are going.

okay cool...one thing I didn't realize, there are R53's in here, not a bad thing, but was just unaware of it...hope to see you all on the 21st!
