Finally got my car back after a run in with bambi
So, I was driving down a little back road in my town at the end of January, I came around a corner and WAM! bambi jumps out of the woods and into the front of my mini then tumbles down the side. After stopping to collect parts I determined it was still fine to drive. Heres the damage.

The deer had claimed my hood, bumper, radiator support, splash shield, grille, hood scoop and headlight, and also managed to put a big dent in the rear quarter. I decided I wanted a carbon fiber hood so I got one. Sent the car off to the body shop and they spent over a month fixing the thing. Overall I'm just really happy to have the car back and looking better than ever!

I was curious...did the deer survive?
Glad you've got the car back, and I agree with the general sentiment--the new hood looks great. Glad you've been reunited.

The car looks great, and I'm glad you have it back on the road, riding and looking fine.
altho not in a MINI, a couple weeks ago I hit a 150 lb white tail deer straight on at 65 mph on a deserted road in Nebraska with a brand new Ford Focus. Just jumped out of the shoulder, and I hit it with no time to react dead-center grille, where it then rolled under the front clip, tore that apart, then ran it over with my pass side tires.
trashed the grille plastic and hood pretty bad, and bent the radiator in slightly, yet I was still able to drive the 250 miles home OK.
Cop that took the report (had to, it was a gov vehicle) said I did the right thing by not swerving or trying to avoid it, that's where people roll their cars and end up in the ditch.
