Adjustable camber plate with pillow ball for stock type shocks

This is really a question for vendors...a pillow ball mount is by my experience way stronger than the sloppy - even when new - strut bearings.

I'm curious why we haven't seen and adjustable pillow ball upper strut mount for our cars...???

My IE adjustable plates have spherical bearings, but I guess that is different than both pillow ball and strut bearings.

Terms are the key issue here. Some like to call spherical bearings "pillowball mounts" hence the term.

As for the IE Camber Plates;

The RACE plates, have spherical bearings and no rubber or urethane. These are intended for track cars only. On the street they will be harsh and noisy. That is the reason I don't market them on NAM. Very few people really need that plate.

The IE Street Adjustable Plate, These plates have spherical bearings encased in urethane to offer some cushioning. The bearings are replaceable unlike other similar brands. These are for dual purpose car that are street driven but are also used for track days and auto cross. I run this plate and have never had noise issues with them. With the new TSW V3 springs for R53 you can get -3 or better camber Great Plate, but still not for everyone.

The IE Fixed Plate, These plates include new heavy duty upper strut bearings. This is a great plate for someone on a tight budget or doesn't need adjustments.

While the IE plates may not be "pillowball" they are a great plate with two of them running Spherical bearings and the Street Adjust with the urethane giving you the best of both worlds without the higher cost of many others.

I hope that helps, Dustin

I loves me my IE fixed camber plates and TSW V3 springs... loads better then stock.

I may be "missing out" with the fixed plates, but I'm light years ahead of how the original parts were!

The H-Sports claim to be "pillow ball" as well... they also work with stock or "topless" coilovers...

Yesterday I learned that the IE fixed 1.25 ned camber plates use the bearings from the BMW Z4...these are indeed bigger than the stock mini crapolla units. FYI
