Those are meant to go in the wings so its less than 2" dia. Can't find my wing emblem in the boxes at the moment so I can't measure. I also have shift **** with one of those in the center

 

I'm looking for an interesting solution to a chipped hood emblem on the '03. hence the 'soft dome' decal questions. I like vintage stuff. I just applied an original Impko water decal to my side window today (I bought a pair but one disintegrated upon contact with water).

 

1 5/8" is the center of the wing emblem. The whole classic wing assembly won't sit nicely on the new mini's hood curvature either. I would leave it alone. Its like putting an acura symbol on a riced out civic.
