Hey All,

I am interested in the pulley upgrade but do not feel comfortable with engine work on my own as I have ZERO experience in such things. Can anyone recommend a good shop in Orlando, FL that can work on the MINI?

Thanks,

~Steve~

No clue about Orlando, but I've heard the place to go here in FL is Foreign Affair Motorsports (http://www.2fam.com/). Sorry. Someone else might know.

MINIBeast has a shop. I don't know where he's located, but I'm sure he can help you.

I'm thinking about driving down to Foreign Affairs in December. It's about 2.5 -3 hrs from Orlando in Ft. Lauderdale. MiniBeast works out of Foreign Affairs I believe.
Maybe we can start our own pulley party / caravan down there?

I'd ask Mike Preist at Downtown Mini as he has like 11 Minis and lives in O-town.

Seems to me I recall reading about a pulley party in S. Fla. (Not Orlando, I realize.)

Was it Rennsport? I kind of assumed that companies that hosted these things would pick up the necessary knowledge to do one themselves.

My wife will be expecting her MCS at the end of November. Production date is 10/24. We would be interested in doing the pulley mod. We live in St. Petersburg.

I don't believe you're going to find an installer with much
experience in Central Florida. I snooped about and was
unable to, that's for sure.-- Soooo, I drove to Renntech in
West Palm for the installation of a pulley and Evotech's
software. --- I highly recommend them! (Evosport and
Renntech are almost one in the same as Renntech is their US
headquarters.) You can find them online at http://www.evotechusa.com
Simply contact Bob Brady, their "mini-man."

If you're ever in Daytona, you'd be more than welcome
to drive my car to see what a modified Mini feels like.

Have a good one...
- Jim
