any suggestions on what next?

I just completed my first set of engine mods this weekend. So far I have installed the Alta CAI, Inlet Tube, and Boost Tubes and I have the Statmosphere Catback. I'm not looking to make a race car, just a commuter that has power when I want it and avoid CEL's. So, what would does everyone suggest the next logical upgrade? I am thinking the ECU. My thoughts are that I have enough basic upgrades that the ECU could tie them together to provide the big boost in HP I am looking for. Any other thoughts? Downpipe, Turbo wrap, Intercooler, polyeurethane engine bushings???? Thanks in advance.

Downpipe. That is where the power in the exhaust comes from.

I'd also get the intercooler. It makes power steady and strong, and is a nice upgrade.

If you're looking for big power, go with the ECU, but I'd get the downpipe first so you can tune it for that. It'll make the ECU worth the money, for sure.

Like Noegel said, I'd go with a downpipe and intercooler, then top everything off with ECU

I don't see a lot of downpipe manufacturers? Alta,??? I need one that would have the same connection to the catback as the stock fitting as well as having one catalytic converter as my state has fairly strict emmisions, and my cat back already removed one. Any thoughts on a dp? Would having to include the catalytic converter defeat much of the performance gain of the dp?

I'd say downpipe...but you might have CEL problems and it sounds like you don't want that. It's no big deal though really. I'd get a dp and the poly engine bushings! Those are my next 2.

ECU...wait for a good one to come out.
