Plasti-dip crew... LOL

welll......i ordered 2 cans of the stuff, but due to free shipping it takes forever to get here....and i happen to be in Home Depot...and to my suprise, they actually stacked spray canned Plasti-dip...and to my surprise, wayyy cheaper then online stores..well any way, back to the point....i painted my NON S gills grill and modified it a bit, headlamps surrounds, tail lamps surrounds, and surprise....mean look taillights....ill post photos tomorrow..meanwhile, plasti-dip crew..post your PHOTOS ///let it be a starter topic

I love the stuff man i was going to make a thread too well i did my hl & tl rings today and i love how they look !!!! This stuff ROCKS...i had some questions .

-Should i do my trunk chrome peace (on top o the #s ) also?, idk if it will look good .

-Where else should i PlastiZ? ( i know i am going to do my rims but in a few months)

-Dose the my MINI still look great wit the mirror cap chrome or should i do them too?( has anyone done them?)

-Doesn't it look HOOOTTTTT!!!!!!??????

main thing why i love plasti-dip is....... its soooo easy to get it of your hands, or get it off whatever you didnt mean to have it on , but somehow got there lol....im just curious how itll hang on vs. flying debris on the highway....

Ive been looking at this. Did you guys do any sanding to the chrome before painting?

nope no need for it just whip clean and spray on (3 coats) i am soo happy with this stuff i am going to go and continue NOWW.

yeah i'll probably re-spray with plastidip cuz the paint on the headlight surrounds has gotten little chips from debris.

Yeah I saw that, hence my email to plasti-dip inquiring about whether or not I could order some since only basic colours are available in stores...

Here's my response:

"Christina,

There would be a custom colour charge (prox $700) to order the pink colour featured on our website. This is not including the cost of the actual Plastidip itself.

Yeah I guess that's what I'll have to do. Kinda defeats to purpose of riding this plasti-dip bandwagon and having all the fun of disguising the chrome one day, peeling it off the expose the chrome another day and doing it all over again :P Ok just kidding on that part, but the DIY bit sounded fun and the cost is attractive (for the basic colours at least :P).

If anyone happens to find pink plasti-dip in any local stores, PM me asap and we'll arrange something

Its not very hard to get or find... idk if they have it where u live but i wanted a areo grille with the trim for xmas and i got it and my pasti dip was a gift for myself lol

Well done VW's > Stock MINI's with random, mismatched parts sprayed black on bright colored body colors.

You'll find that even on the vortex, when you find an impressive good looking car, it's not one of the cars that just plasti-dips all the parts despite how it flows with the car.
