You mean the pink one?!?!?! Details please!!

All I've seen is the black one in a really obscure non-chain hardware store.

Again, the cars rocking the rusted hoods even look a million times better than a stock MINI that has a few random parts spray painted black. It just adds so much contrast that doesn't flow on most body colors.

The point of dechroming is to remove chrome and get rid of contrast for a nice clean look. On a light color, painting the chrome black adds MORE contrast and just breaks up the entire flow.

VW = rusted hood scene. especially with the 94-2000 years, it seems VERY common and cool to have a rust-protected hood. Dont ask why.

At one point, I thought about putting wood flooring in the back of my car.....

EDIT: Dont get me wrong, it looks awesome if people can pull it off properly and it CAN be done... I think its just sometimes WAY too nutsy

Trust me. I'm part of the VW scene, i know I don't know if I would define the whole scene as a rusted hood scene. In each generation car there are maybe 3 or 4 cars in the whole country rocking rusted hoods temporarily

VW= Clean scene with quality wheels, nice stance, and shaved bodywork.

It all still looks better than spray painting some parts a mismatched color IMO

Me too! Well, I used to be part of the VW scene anyways. The scene is too small here to get into that without people thinking I was crazy...People thought I was nuts running 16x9 on a daily driven Corrado :(

Do you guys think I should wait to do this until maybe this weekend? The reason I ask is because on Friday (got my car 2 weeks ago) its going to FINALLY get detailed by the dealer and get the window tint installed. Should I wait until after the detail so it doesnt get ripped off somehow?

Uhhh, why stop? They look very good blacked out. I'm going to go full-bore with plasti-dip when it warms up around here. Black out everything in sight. If you don't like it, don't do it. Fair enough?

Hey MiniPOLACK, how cold was it outside when you did yours? I'm itching to do this but with temps in the 30s, I don't think it will cure correctly.

well, i cheated..... ..took it home, did it in the basement, i waited for the parts to "warm up" to the room temperature including the sprays...an hour later, i heard a mouthful from my tenants about the stench of aerosol .....but it was worth every curse word LOL
