Completed Jet Black 007 Cooper w.Lasers

A couple weeks back I posted news that I've been working on a laser mod for my cooper. A lot of people said they didn't agree with the mod because they thought it was too dangerous, and I also got defensive against Old Rick and I apologize, I took his comments too personal, I understand all of your concerns.

So, I hereby vow to use my lasers strictly for good and not evil, and hope you all can just trust me on that front. Nonetheless, I really want to share the results with this particular community, it's somewhat fascinating...

Are those legal?

They look cool, but I'm just worried about the random things you'd point that at...windows, people, animals...police officers...

Right, but I worry nightly what the hunters/paranoid out here in the country are pointing their guns at, I'll take what precautions I can to remain a non threat, and I take responsibility for all precipitants.

Musiq this is off topic but whatever happened to your engine? I remember reading your thread about a bad rod. Is everything alright now?

Your memory is beyond comparison, yeah, hours after she came off the flatbed, the engine went bad. I went through two months of insurance games, and they eventually covered most of the repairs praise the lord. (new engine, ac condenser, radiator, alternator etc.). Thanks for remembering :-)

At a car show those would be awesome, but please don't do it down the highway. As hilarious as it would be to see two green beams shoot past you.

I like your little mod! It will be fun to play with during car gatherings and shows just for a conversation piece. Unlike some, I'm sure common sense will be used on your part as to where and when you play.

I couldn't have this mod. I'd be wanting to use it during those situations when there's no traffic and the car in front of me is going 35-40 mph while in a 55-65 mph zone, while talking on the cell phone and stuffing McDonalds fries down their throat. ME BAD!!!

Because it's frickin' laser beams, man?

The only thing better than a MINI with laser beams, is sharks with laser beams on their heads...

(Okay, enough Dr. Evil 'isms; sorry about that).

Sorry, Laser beams on a mini don't do anything for me...
Waste of good money for functional mini upgrades...

Well, they look cool. A bit on the useless side, but I guess this mod didn't cost too much, did it?

No, parts were like, $80 roughly, definitely a lot of bang for buck, It's just a matter of weatherproofing right now, the optics don't do well with rain.

Some guy up there posted that it was a waste of money, come on dude, you and I both drive a highly impractical sports car in the face of an impending great depression, why hate on me because I spent $80 on lasers?

sorry dude, I like to think that I'm driving a practical car during a troubled time in our economy. I still get good mpg and my car is paid off. So 80 bucks isn't that much if it gives you what you want. I personally find it to be a bit pointless that's all. To each his own. Wish you the best with those things and the law..

well If you personally find it pointless, why say anything?

Curious......what is the nm of each, and do they have serial numbers and are they properly registered w/FDA under 21 CFR 1040.10 ?

....Reason why I ask is that they appear to be Class III equipment

3-4 years ago pilots flying 747's out of Logan were hit by civilian lasers during take off's, as you can imagine it caused quite a stir.....they were eventually found & prosecuted.
