Hubcentric Rings
Hubcentric Rings
Does anyone have any info on where I could find anodized metal hubcentric rings? I ask for anodized as I have heard these dont have as many issues as just the bare metal ones. Hopefully getting these isnt much of a hassle. I melted mine to the hub during a track day. Woops.

Plastic rings are OK for street use.
For driving events, lapping and track use you can use plastic rings in the rear and put metal rings in the front. It's usually the front wheel facing the outside of the bulk of the turns. On a counter clockwise course the front passenger brake gets hottest.
I've melted a plastic ring or two and had a hard time removing the ring when it came to changing out the wheels at the end of the day.
Requires an adjustable pliers or lock wrench big enough to grab the outside of the ring. You can also break off a plastic ring but don't damage the rotor in the process.
I have also took a dremmel tool to my rings to reduce the tight fit I sometimes will get- this can help with not allowing the rings to be stuck.
Don't overuse the dremmel, you want a good fit.

It was actually the back hubs that got melted. I think its the lack of heat dissipation that rears brakes have.
We carry a set of aluminum ones at $30 shipped.
