Anybody Having Problems With JCW Stage 1 Tune Kit?

Anybody having any problems to speak of with their JCW stage 1 tune kit? My MCS will arrive at the end of the month and I want my dealership to add it on before I come to pick her up. Is there any reason why this may not be a good idea and instead should wait a few days to bring it back? Also, one more question. Do the JCW tailpipes stick out any further than than the stock pipes? Thanks folks.

I have had mine installed for a couple of months and have had no problems.

The exhaust tips can be set basically anywhere you want. They are adjustable. (for my car anyway)

It is your call on doing it now or later. I appreciate mine more now since I had the standard S tuning for about 5 months.

just fyi -- The exhaust is much louder with the tune. Most say it is not loud enough but I think it is fine....if not a bit too loud.

I did not have any problems wth my Stage 1 after 3 months. I would wait till after the break in period before putting it on just in case there are any issues with the car. Also break in is a little easire for me because I am less hard on the car.

I think, visually, the tailpipes do not seem to stick out anymore than the original.

No problems what so ever. Tailpipes are adjustable. I agree with Slinger688. Get the dealer to commit on a price now but wait 3-4 months until fully broken in. You will like the sound of the exhaust. Consider Mini Madness JCW air filter after the install. Have fun

No problems whatsoever with mine either. I am very happy with the package overall. The exhaust is sweet, but I would not want it any louder.

I agree with the others, drive the car for a while before having the kit installed. It will make you appreciate the kit even more

I was with the techs while the were JCW-ing my car ... and we decided to set the tips out slightly farther than oem directions (they have some axis measurement to not let the tips stick out further than such-and-such)... and THEY ARE AWESOME

roowrr ...

I was able to have mine installed at the port for only $1650, big savings over the dealer
