Im just trying to figure out whats going on really. I placed my order on 6/6 (6 weeks ago!) and the mini owners lounge says "on order"....

Is this normal right now? Are other buyers facing this as well?

I was told my clubman would be done late aug. or early oct. and i already have a production number...

I ordered mine on june 3rd, I still don't have a production number.
I talked to my MA yesterday, she said they stopped making the 08's, they are doing the change-over, so mine will be an 09

 

your status wouldn't change until it is actually in production. If your production date is in Oct I bet you'll be getting an 09 built.

 

It doesn't take long to build and deliver them honestly....so if you're expecting it in Aug or Oct, then it's definitely 'normal' for it to still be 'on order' since it's only July.

Your order is probably in line to go into production and should start towards the end of july or early august. Then you'll be checking daily as it moves through the other steps

 

true story. i ordered mine in early may, where it then sat until ~ 2 weeks ago. since it started moving through the steps i've hopped into the owner's lounge at least once a day.

sometimes i'm going to wonder what i'll do with myself once it comes in and i still have to be at work for 8 hours a day...

 

I'm still waiting for my order to be placed, but perhaps with all that extra time I'll look out at the parking lot at her (or him) since I can see the lot from my office.

 

I ordered my clubbie on Feb. 23rd. it went to prod. on april 23, I didn't get it until June 6th (D-DAY) It can take a long time or short time it's albout allotments space per dealer. So hangin there

 

Try calling MINI USA or asking your MA. The online lounge is famous for being very behind.

 

Mini sales are up 55% from last year and 88% up last month alone...if I placed my order this month, I'd be looking 7 months before it gets here...washington state....get your chairs out, it's going to be bit of a wait.

 

I placed min 06/03, probably by the end of the month we should get vin numbers. I am production week 32. Don't worry it's normal, it depends on if your dealer had used up his quota or not. Mine had been selling so many I had to wait almost a week and a half for a production number.

 

Woo hoo. Another week 32. Originally I was week 33. Got bumped to week 32 a few weeks later. Order was on 6/14. I'm on the east coast (Jacksonville, FL). Nice to meet someone in the same week.

There is a week 32 thread why don't you join in! 32 is coming up fast. I've been a 32 from the start no movement, but that's okay. I want them to make sure they know everything about my car and take their time building it. I believe my order went through 06/12, I made the initial payment 06/03. Glad to meet you!

Call the dealer and ask for your Production Week.
Then you'll know exactly when she's being built.
