Can instalarece Alta Lightened Crank Pulley at R50 MINI ONE 2005? What pulley %?

 

Ummm....what!?!? U can put a 0% lightened crank pulley on the Mini One R50 if thats what you are asking..

 

People www.outmotoring.com I have recommended 2%.

Can produce vibration? Recomendais I install it?

I think a 2% will only overdrive your alternator. Reducing the pully will not help anything. I don't think you will get much gain from this on an MC. It is already pretty light I think.

 

Unlike with the stock Cooper S pulley which is about 3,4kg, the stock Cooper is already about 1,3kg, so 0,7kg saving from an aftermarket pulley is going to give nothing!

 

But then again 0.7 kg is still something. I get steaks here that are 500g, and thats a bit of weight. I have been considering this myself, just to even minutely increase the performance. Personally, to get the MC going faster it needs as much help as possible. So this is one possibility. . . I think.

I need some help . I was forced to change engine wiring on R50 in respect of fact that i need to take of crankshaft pulley . I must saw up this crankshaft pulley because it was impossible to take it off . So for now i need a new one . Can i use ALTA pulley 0%? Because original is out of stock in europe .

 

Alta is made for the R53s, it will not fit on the R50 crankshaft snoot. I've got two OEM spares if you are interested.

How much difference between OEM pulley and alta pulley?
