R50/53 New stuff on MINIusa
I know some people are going to get snippy b/c I'm mentioning MINIusa, but (frankly) I don't care. They have this new game when you first open the site. It's fun, but I don't know how long you could sit and play it. They have 4 new MINI productions videos that are pretty good. There may be more things I haven't discovered yet. Thought I'd let you all know. I like the quarkiness at MINIusa, reminds me how much I like my MINI
.
.
I saw the new stuff when I logged in for the hundreth time today to check my Mini status. The game looked fun, I will try it later when I have accepted the fact that my status has remained unchanged. :???:
Cat, I think you are wise beyond your years. Knowing the VIN number and when it got on the ship and when it arrived at the distribution point will just drive you batty. The time between your order placement and your delivery date will go by much more quickly if you just forget you ever ordered the car...right! Like any normal human could do that!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Just wait until you realize that you have your VIN # memorized.

Another thing I think is good to keep in mind for those (such as myself) who have been obsessively checking their Mini's status via MINIUSA. It isn't necessarily accurate.
I tracked it until it hit "awaiting transport" then learned how to track it via the shipping company. It was listed as onboard on 8/14 and the vessel also sailed that day. The MINIUSA tracker still has it as awaiting transport. At first I was cool but more and more feared mine had gotten rowdy and taken off and to the brig. I asked about it on the September Club thread. It turns out most were "in the same boat" with me and also told my Mini theirs were also still sitting on the dock. I was told this is usually the case and not to worry. My motoring advisor said the same.
Mine is now past Cape Breton and nearing New York Harbor!
Those wanting to track their from dock to dock should check that thread for directions to the shipper's site. You simply click auto and then key in the VIN number and bingo, it tracks the ship's progress.
Waiting is rough but it ends for us all!

Yes, my wait time wasn't accurate either. My MINI showed up at the dealer about 2 weeks later than posted on MINIusa. Those new videos would make me anxious to get the car. Infact, I want to drive my MINI now! Hope the wait isn't too hard for you all.
