Now I've seen it all: Ford KA with a Nordschleife decal

True. Was walking the daughter to a birthday party yesterday, and saw a parked Ford Ka with a Nordschleife decal on the back.

I just about peed myself.

Maybe a .3 liter engine. 49 hp. Zero to sixty in seven days. And a Ring veteran.

Awesome.

(Below is how it should look -- not on a Ka!)

Come on, abu. Ka drivers are people, too, and they deserve our respect and support. One day, they just might be able to evolve from the primordial ooze and get a MINI!

Cheers!!

Well, if they'd had Dutch tags on the car, maybe. But this was a German car!

Und das ist nicht ins ordnung? Don't be a hater. Imagine a whole herd of those things SCREAMING around the Ring!! (The screams aren't from the awesome power of the engine but from the driver's fear that the car will blow up before the Karussell.) Now imagine how you'd feel if you had NOT run the Ring and knew that they did!!

Cheers!!

Oh, I think they'd be great fun to run on the Ring -- as bumper cars!

(and I'm a total lover, not a hater!)

Blimey --

Good news! Just got off of the phone with the polizei -- they confirm that there is no law against you driving the Ring.

Feel free to head on over at any time to drive a few laps.

The ring has long been the place that the better driver can win in the worse car. Maybe he's hoping to run in in that tradition.

From the simulators I have driven, I'd say it's the amount of daring one has that determines the best driver there. At least you and the Ka driver have more of a chance of driving the real thing than I do, it's just 20 euros, I think. If I could do it as part of an all-Ka race, even better .

The Sport Ka seems to get cred from some folks. Depending on tune, it might be interesting on the Ring.

Pretty confident Sabine in the Ka could kick any of our butts in just about anything we might drive...
